18 Life Lessons Learned From Writing My Book

Here are 18 life lessons I learned from writing “Blank Canvas” and now as I create my second book.

PS — These apply to all goals and dreams.

I’m not too old.

Routine matters.

Turning Pro is a choice.

I didn’t miss my chance.

It takes as long as it takes.

Asking for feedback is crucial.

The source of that feedback is crucial.

Who I become on the journey is the true reward.

The only limits on my potential are self-imposed.

The outcome is out of my control; only my effort is.

My soul’s deepest purpose is my ego’s deepest fear.

If I believe I’ve gone deep and vulnerable enough, I haven’t.

I know I’ve gone deep enough when I feel naked, alone, and terrified to share.

My inner wounds and imprisoning beliefs hold the keys to my extraordinary future.

The days I don’t want to are the days I must; 9 times out of 10, those become the best days.

Finishing massive projects demonstrates that I’m worthy of experiencing the joy of finishing massive projects.
