3 Tips to Cultivate Courage
There’s a lot of crap out there regarding Fear.
The misconception that Fear is something to be eliminated, that you need to be Fearless to create and live the life you want to live.
Bullshit.
Why would you want to be fearless?
Fear is a necessary and essential part of being alive. Studies have shown that even psychopaths feel Fear. They don’t, however, recognize the danger.
Running into a burning building, standing on the edge of a cliff on a windy day, these are real fears.
What you don’t need are the machinations of the mind as you stand on the threshold of something that scares you: Asking someone out, speaking on stage, publishing a book.
Taking the leap and creating a life you love.
It’s cliche, but it’s true — every single thing you want is on the other side of Fear.
Not one of those things above will kill you. Sure as hell feels like they will when you’re in the middle of it, though.
Fear, when appropriately used, is a compass that tells you where to go.
Think of the moments in your life when you’ve felt most alive — they are most likely when you faced one of your Fears.
