3 Tips to Cultivate the Courage to Pursue Your Calling
I believe we cultivate meaning and fulfillment in our lives when we connect with and pursue our calling.
But, when we decide to pursue our calling, it will trigger our brain’s survival mechanism.
Deciding to write that Civil War epic that’s been stirring your brain for twenty-plus years is a leap into the unknown.
Hence all the self-doubt:
“You’ll fail.”
“People will laugh at you.”
“Who do you think you are?”
Our design is in direct conflict with our desire.
So how do we move beyond the pale and into the unknown? How do we cultivate a life of meaning and fulfillment?

“Just do it.”
“Be fearless.”
“Be courageous.”
There is a tremendous amount of merit, too, “Just do it.”
I won’t deny that.
But there’s much more behind those 3 words, and without exploring that, those 3 words are merely air.
