Being In a Constant State of Evolution is Where We Find Ferociousness and Fire
I love music.
In part, thanks to growing up with an older sister and a mom who listened to Queen, David Bowie, Guns and Roses, Bob Seger, Creedence, Van Halen, and Tina Turner — to name only a few.
My father was not a huge fan of music, yet he purchased a kick-ass stereo with fifteen-inch sub-woofers that my mom and sister would turn up to “11” regularly.
I feel bad for whoever purchased that house; I’m guessing we caused structural damage from the sheer vibration of the bass. ;)
Due to this extremely fun upbringing, I immerse myself in music and content built around music in my downtime.
I enjoy getting lost on YouTube, watching concerts, or reading about bands I love.
I recently read a review of a Led Zeppelin (one of my favorites) concert that took place in Georgia in 1973.
The reviewer said it was good but not great. However, there was one line in the review that really grabbed my attention:
“We were seeing a band that had already conquered the world, not a band that was trying to conquer the world.”
The reviewer wished they had seen the band in 1972 before they conquered the world.
