Can I make money from my passion?
This is the wrong question to ask yourself. It’s a question that prevents you from pursuing your passion.
It’s a trap. Behind the trap?
Fear.
Our brains are survival machines. That’s their primary job, and they’re very good at it, which does not always lend itself to us living the lives we want to live.
Applying the added pressure of having to support yourself (food & shelter) by pursuing your passion makes taking action towards your passion an impossibility.
If your very survival is dependent on making money from your passion, what are the chances your brain wants you to do this? So it becomes safer to keep your passion as a dream and nothing more.
A better question to ask yourself is:
Does taking action towards my passion bring me happiness and joy?
I’m guessing the answer is Yes.
Isn’t this enough? Isn’t your joy and happiness enough unto itself? When did your joy, happiness, and fulfillment not become enough? Why does there have to be a monetary component?
