Clearing the Path for Growth: Overcoming Our Mental Obstacles
Before we can build anything, we must make room.
We make room by clearing what stands in the way.
Often, what we believe stands in the way isn’t what’s in the way.
Example:
As we age, it’s easy to believe,
“I’m too old.”
Age isn’t the obstacle; your belief around age is the obstacle.
Don’t settle for the surface; punch through to find your truth, and you’ll change your life.
PS — While we’re discussing age, here are some inspirational second-half examples:
- Peter Mark Roget: He’s best known for creating “Roget’s Thesaurus,” which he didn’t publish until he was 73.
- Anna Mary Robertson Moses: Better known as Grandma Moses, she didn’t begin her painting career until her late 70s.
- Charles Darwin: While Darwin had been working on his theory of evolution for many years, it wasn’t until he was 50 that he published “On the Origin of Species.”
