Depth vs. Width: How I Learned to Thrive by Doing Less, Better

I had an idea this morning.

Fundamentally, it’s a solid idea for driving sales of my book, “Blank Canvas.”

The idea meets a bunch of criteria on whether or not I move forward with its execution.

It’s executable.

It’s almost fully automated.

I feel that “spark” when I think of it.

It would be easy to run with it and get caught up in the excitement of it.

However, when I cross-reference it with my crystal clear goals for the book, it doesn’t quite check all the boxes.

It’s not as targeted and focused as I’d want it to be.

It’s not quite right and would be a distraction.

So, I’ll add it to my ideas list and may or may not revisit it.

I have a new client who is doing extraordinary things in the music industry; I’m honored and humbled that they chose me as their coach as they navigate this wild and exciting chapter in their lives.

They’ve got a mountain of ideas, and they want to chase every single one of them.

When we’re creating something new in our lives & pursuing our dreams, it’s all new to us. So it’s easy to fall into the trap of…
