Fear of Success = Fear of Being Seen

Nobody likes feeling unworthy.

It’s a sucky feeling. But, in the work I do with my clients, it’s one of the most prevalent and challenging states of being we work on.

You feel unworthy of your job, your home, your partner, love, and admiration.

Heaven forbid someone compliments you — it’s like acid on a wound only you can see and feel.

You feel unworthy of success.

Nobody likes feeling unworthy — BUT — you want what feeling unworthy provides you.

With every action we take, “good” or “bad,” there is a payoff — and that’s why we do whatever it is we do.

What’s the payoff of holding onto your unworthiness?

You get to hide. Feeling unworthy is a place where you’re safe from being SEEN.

Fear of success is the Fear of being Seen.

When you’re seen, you risk being judged, ridiculed, criticized. You risk people witnessing your colossal failure.

“What are they going to say?”

A few things to point out in this scenario.

  1. All that Fear of judgment, ridicule, and criticism? Are you a fortune-teller? Can you see into the future? Sure, your brain will search and find evidence for when it has…
