Fear of The Unknown is Merely Fear of Our Own Imagination
Every time you capitulate to fear, you make capitulating to fear that much easier.
I’m not discussing gun in the face, burning building fear — they’re real and happening in real-time.
No, I’m discussing the fear that arises when you decide you’re going to step out of your status quo, break free from your life on autopilot and follow your calling.
That thing that’s been whispering to you for years:
Writing. Painting. Sculpting. Composing. Entrepreneurship. Teaching.
Becoming a changemaker for the greater good.
The fear that arises from stepping out of your norm in the pursuit of a life of meaning and fulfillment is imaginary.
It sure doesn’t feel that way.
It feels so real, it feels so overwhelming, it feels like sheer insanity to leave the solid ground you’re on and leap into the unknown.
Think about pursuing your biggest dream, the rush of excitement, the opportunity, the possibility.
Think about moving towards that dream. What happens? Your brain goes into overdrive:
Think of ALL the steps.
Think of ALL the things you DON’T know.
Think of ALL the things that could go wrong.
