From Ruin to Reinvention: The Role of Fear in Crafting a Life You Love

“The same energy I used to destroy my life will be the same energy I used to create a life I love.”

I wrote that years ago; I am trying to remember if it was while journaling or working on my book.

It doesn’t matter either way; it’s the message that matters.

When those words left my body, they ignited something inside me; an aliveness was born; those words were the keys to creating my new life.

They were profound, and I felt the wisdom they contained, but I didn’t know precisely what they meant at the time of writing them.

I was always stuck on one word: Energy.

I didn’t know what the energy was, only that it was powerful and held the key.

What could both destroy and create? How could the energy be those two things when those two things are so antithetical?

It took years for me to get there, but I know what the energy is:

Fear

Fear contains the seeds of destruction and creation, and the quality of my life depends on which seed I choose to plant.

When I run away from fear, I plant the seeds of destruction.
