Here’s a Simple, Hard Truth: Your Life Won’t Change, Unless You Change

I always said I wanted to write.

I’d share book and movie ideas with friends, and they’d all say the same thing,

“that’s incredible; you should write that.”

Yeah. I should.

I never did.

I always said I wanted to invent something, to create something new. I’d share my ideas with friends,

“You should make that.”

Yeah. I should.

I never did.

I love, love, love cars. I have since I was 7 or 8. My friends would say,

“You should do something with cars.”

Yeah. I should.

I never did.

I did what I always did, and I got what I always got. Surprised that nothing was changing.

I lived in the shadows of what I wanted to do, hoping someone would come along and move the curtains so the sun could shine in.

Waiting for something or someone to come along and wave a magic wand.

Here you go, here’s your finished manuscript, your invention, your dream job with cars.
