Here’s a Wickedly Simple Tip to Invest Wisely in Your Personal Growth
Years ago, I was looking into a new gym; I wanted to upgrade to a place commensurate with my growing salary.
I took a tour of a club (it wasn’t even called a gym) that was a short distance from my current gym.
It was fancy, to say the least.
Raquet ball, tennis, indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant/bar (I still find the bar strange and counterintuitive), plus all the fancy towels and face products you could imagine.
I was bowled over by the pretty packaging and was ready to triple my monthly gym spend.
Then I stepped back for a second.
Will I actually use the courts?
No, I go to the gym in the middle of the day — none of my friends are around. I’d have no one I’d want to play with.
Will I actually use the pool?
No, I disliked swimming at the time.
The restaurant/bar?
No, I’d hit up one of my favorite restaurants if I wanted food. And again, I go in the middle of the day when it’s empty.
So what would I use?
The weight room. And the weight room in the fancy club wasn’t as good as my gym.
