How the Personal Edges We Hide From Become Our Greatest Strength
Pursuing our dreams and creating something new in our lives requires confronting our personal edges.
Examples of personal edges:
Fear
Self-Doubt
Inadequacy
Unworthiness
Impostor Syndrome
We learn to confront, navigate, and manage our personal edges through consistent practice.
With more time, we begin to seek and hunt our personal edges.
We want to bump into them because we know the more we confront them and learn from them, the more our lives expand with joy, purpose, meaning, and fulfillment.
Initially, our personal edges were razor-sharp; we avoided them because they were painful to bump into. We considered them our greatest weakness and a source of shame.
But, with even more time, something remarkable occurs.
Our personal edges become our greatest strengths.
We learn to connect with them, create through them, and contribute our messy journey in service to something more significant than ourselves.
Avoiding our personal edges breeds fear, shame, and complacency.
