How to Break Free from a Life Built on Material Needs

Scenario:

You don’t like your job.

You’ve created a luxurious lifestyle to compensate for your dislike of your job.

You need the job to fuel the lifestyle, and you need the lifestyle because otherwise, you believe you’ll be miserable.

You’re trapped by your success, and your life feels meaningless.

Before the next major acquisition to maintain and expand your lifestyle, stop, take a breath, and ask these questions

Instead of merely acquiring more to be happy, ask why am I not happy?

What do I believe is missing? What do I want more of?

What am I hoping to achieve through this acquisition?

What’s the inner experience I’m trying to create?

Is there another path to what I want to achieve that doesn’t involve further enmeshing me in a job I don’t like?

Is the temporary high worth sacrificing the long-term vision I desire?

“Blank Canvas” is for anyone trapped in prison cells of unworthiness, inadequacy, shame
