How to Reinvent Your Intelligence and Your Life

All intelligence isn’t the same.

And as you age, you need to understand these 2:

Fluid Intelligence and Crystallized Intelligence

Raymond B. Cattell is credited with developing the theory of fluid and crystallized intelligence.

Simply put, fluid intelligence is fast and innovative. It’s stronger when we’re younger and declines with age.

Crystallized intelligence is more insightful and integrative. It increases with age.

If you keep doing what you’ve always done, relying solely on fluid intelligence, your performance, quality of life, and self-image will decrease.

Reinventing your second half requires you to understand these 2 types of intelligence and transform your actions to leverage your years of accrued wisdom so you can cultivate the mission, meaning, and fulfillment you crave.

So, if you feel “off,” examine what type of intelligence you’re relying on.
