Men: Here’s Why It’s Time to Stop Chasing and Start Building

Men are chasers in the 1st half of their lives.

We chase approval from others.

We chase acceptance from others.

The approval and acceptance we most desire are from our fathers.

Followed secondly by our desire for society to approve and accept us.

To win that approval and acceptance, we follow the shoulds, supposed tos, and expectations of others.

We buy into the bullshit of how a man “should” be.

We accept the blueprint society hands us without question because it’s what we’re supposed to do.

So we step on the golden treadmill, and our chase begins.

We chase:

Titles
Power
Status
Money
Prestige
Materialism

Each box we check on the blueprint feels fantastic.

So the chase continues, more things, more status, more power.

We want that feeling, and we want it all the time.

But something happens; checking the boxes doesn’t feel as good as it once did.
