Mid-Life Crossroads: Why True Change Begins from Within
Crisis or Opportunity?
As we enter mid-life, it’s common for a general sense of malaise to sweep over us.
Something is missing; something feels “off.”
The easy and most common path people choose to “fix” this feeling has become a cliche:
They attempt to reinvent their lifestyle.
Have an affair
Buy a second home
Take a massive vacation
Buy a musical instrument
Buy a sports car, motorcycle, boat
Of course, none of these “fix” anything and usually worsen the situation — the crisis expands.
The path very few people choose, and the antidote to the malaise is the journey within to become who we’ve always wanted to be and who we are at our essence.
We must reinvent ourselves (not our lifestyle) from the inside out.
Reminder:
It’s only a crisis if we make it one.
It’s a springboard to the extraordinary if we make it one.
