One of The Most Important Investments You’ll Ever Make

During an interview, the playwright Somerset Maugham was asked if he waits for inspiration to strike before sitting down to write.

He replied,

“I write only when inspiration strikes. Fortunately, it strikes every morning at nine o’clock sharp.”

This idea is not the province of writers alone.

It applies to everyone who wants to create something new in their lives.

If you wait for the “right” time or inspiration to strike before you sit down to work, you’re abdicating your future to something that doesn’t exist (right time) and a whim (inspiration).

Committing to a time and showing up for yourself daily sends a powerful message to you and the universe.

There’s an energy that won’t be denied when you set aside time every day to work on your calling.

That energy ripples out to every aspect of your life and will improve every aspect of your life.

Stop waiting for inspiration, and instead be the inspiration.

Show up every day.

It’s one of the most important investments you’ll ever make.
