Reconnecting With Mastery Completely Flipped Fear On its Head

I have a few things weighing on me right now, things I’ve been putting off, personally and business-wise.

Things I know will produce feelings I love, peace, freedom, and accomplishment, the liberation of mental bandwidth to focus on activities that create meaning.

I was journaling about it this morning, and I was going the same route I usually go when journaling, inquiring about what’s behind the reticence.

I’ve done this practice in the past, and it’s yielded great results, to understand the thing behind the thing and to do the work to be free of it.

It’s the work I do with my clients, and I love it.

But this morning, something else came up.

I’m a writer, first and foremost.

Writing is my business.

My work behind the keyboard allows me to do the work I do with clients and deliver the presentations I deliver.

Every day I pursue mastery in the craft of writing; it’s what makes me come alive.

Reconnecting with mastery flipped fear on its head.

The things I fear are building blocks to mastery because my experiences inform the words I choose.
