The Art of Living: How to Sculpt a Life of Purpose and Meaning

Art, in whatever form, writing, painting, composing, or entrepreneurship, among many other mediums, requires our whole being.

It requires we accept all parts of ourselves, especially our fears, self-doubt, insecurities, and internal obstacles, that do their best to keep us confined to complacency.

Whatever we create won’t be complete if we deny a piece of ourselves.

Art that moves an individual is infused with the artist’s deepest insecurities.

Otherwise, it’s homogenized conformity under the guise of art.

Aren’t our lives, unto themselves, the most significant piece of art we will ever create?

Most of us have spent the first half of our lives crafting art rooted in someone else’s design.

We’ve practiced Impressionism in a “Paint by Numbers” guidebook, creating an image of what we believe life “should” be.

But we yearn for more, more meaning, more purpose, more fulfillment, we wish to transcend the mundanity of the status quo and begin work on our masterpiece, before its too late.

But we don’t know how.

The art we’ve been practicing will not and cannot create the life we desire.
