There’s an inevitability to self-sabotage that can’t or won’t be denied.
Once it’s born, it will do whatever is required to fulfill its purpose.
It doesn’t care for anything that stands in its way; there’s no thought of collateral damage, only the fulfillment of its desire.
To kill whatever threatens to kill the driving forces behind it.
It would be beautiful if it weren’t so tragic and often terrifying.
Beautiful in its single-minded focus on the accomplishment of its task.
We view the artist who sacrifices everything to bring their creation to life romantically and wistfully.
We love the athlete who, for the first part of their young life, gives everything up to accomplish mastery in their field.
When the task is destruction, we despise it.
When the task is creation, we love it.
