Why Letting Go is Beautiful and Terrifying

Let Go. Release.

Lately, I’ve been journaling about the words “release” and “let go.”

It’s a by-product of struggling with a significant life decision that has me slamming up against two of my personal edges.

Like Hawaii waves crashing against me, throwing me into the rocks.

The edges?

I’m not worthy, and I’m not enough.

These are beliefs I’ve struggled with for most of my life.

The decision would be a non-issue if these beliefs didn’t exist.

So I’ve been doing a LOT of work around them.

I journal, I self-coach, and I’ve had numerous conversations with the younger versions of myself who believe these beliefs and are afraid it’s not safe to move forward.

I’ve experienced some breakthroughs, I’ve made myself cry, and I’ve given myself the gift of a different perspective.

That word, release, has been instrumental.

The word has revealed itself in two distinct and equally powerful ways for me:

Releasing the beliefs that have held me back.

Releasing the version of myself that has always known he’s worthy and enough.
